MINUTES OF THE CASTAWAY KIDS

                                                 Feb 11, 2008

Mark Mulligan provided his home for the meeting with the following attendees:  Susan Schauf,
Lenny  & Lauriann Atlee, Verna Brame, Kay DiNunzio, Jim Bomberg, Frank Cross, Larry & Maris
Kalmbach, Doug Marshall, Becky Lupo, Pam Brame and Darlene & Bob Scozzafave.

First item of business concerned the shoe drive.  We have had great support especially from Nikki
Landon in California.  Mark has found a young lady in Fatima who will give the shoes away or sell
them, if possible, to provide a small income.  Other ladies in various neighborhoods will be sought
out to assist in the shoe distribution.

During Christmas time we discovered several children who needed uniforms to go to school.
Much discussion ensued regarding this need.  Contact will be made to those ladies who assisted us
during Christmas preparations to determine the best way of helping in this area.

Pam Brame announced we are buying a new domain name for our web site.  The new name will be
www.castawaykids.org, if it is available.

Susan Schauf discussed the brochures.  They are ready to be printed.  She will seek out the most
economical way to get the job done.

Richard McCreedy, son of Pam Brame,  will be in San Carlos this weekend.  During his visit he has
offered his services free of charge.  Richard is a Landscape Architect from Nevada.  He has
developed several city parks and community parks in Nevada and will be most helpful regarding the
Fatima parks we wish to build.  Larry Kalmbach and David Keilholtz, will escort him to Fatima and
show him the areas of interest for the future Castaway Kids projects.

Mark Mulligan gave an overview regarding the land issues in Fatima.  He has acquired a letter from
the City of Guaymas.  This letter gives us permission to build a park on the small triangular plot
which is located in an established neighborhood of Fatima.  The Castaway Kids are grateful for this
small beginning, however, our goal is to acquire land in Fatima to build a community center.  Several
options are being explored.  Mark Mulligan and Frank Cross, with Mark’s attorney, will visit the
diocese in Obregon, in the next two weeks.  The goal is to approach the Diocese to obtain land in
Fatima which has been abandoned for many years.  There are several other land areas the group
will also explore.

Discussion ensued concerning Juan, our young man in Fatima who will be graduating from college
this August.  His financial needs to complete school were discussed with whatever was needed to
be funded.  Mark will also assist him with interviews when the time comes.

The Castaway Kids must seek Mexican Corporation status.  Proper steps are being explored.
Our next meeting will be held at the Kalmbach’s on the 25th of February at 10:00 a.m.

Respectfully Submitted,

Maris M. Kalmbach
