MINUTES OF THE CASTAWAY KIDS

                                                   February 25, 2008

The Kalmbach's provided their home for the meeting with the following attendees:
Susan Schauf, Mike and Dianne Reeve, Judy and Tom Blandford, Lenny Atlee, Doug
Marshall, Pete Spencer, Judy Atkinson, Rob Vanderford, Jim Bomberg, Kay DiNunzio,
Donna Malcolm, Ann Peay, Charles and Jeane Smith, Becky Lupo, Dave Keilholtz,
Erendira Morales, Lupita Valenzuela, Fred and Penny Wegener, Mark Mulligan, Larry
and Maris Kalmbach, Linda Rose, and Chuck Kaufman.

President Susan Schauf opened the meeting at 10:00 a.m.  A welcome was given to
those new members  attending the meeting.  Mark Mulligan gave an overview of the
Castaway Kids, how we began and what we are working on now.  He discussed the
park projects.  The first park is a small triangular shaped lot for which the City of
Guaymas previously gave written permission for the Castaway Kids to develop.  This
park will be made for small children.  The second park is in the planning phase with
properties  to be explored from the City of Guaymas, Diocese of Obregon and a
private party.  The dream of the Castaway Kids to have a community center in Fatima
may realized in the near future.

Mark Mulligan introduced two professionals who will donate their time to the Castaway
Kids.  Erendira Morales is a paralegal from San Carlos who will help us file for a
Mexican non-profit corporation.  The Castaway Kids will be filed under the name of
"Castaway Kids de Mexico, A.C."  Lupita Valenzuela is an accountant and will donate
her time to file the financial reports  required by the Hacienda (Mexican version of the
IRS).  The Castaway Kids are eternally grateful!  Before the Castaway Kids can buy
any land, we must be a Mexican non-profit corporation.  We are anticipating that the
incorporation process will be completed in the next 60 days.

A committee has been formed concerning the small park in Fatima.  The members are:
Dave Keilholtz, Larry Kalmbach, Doug Marshall, Pete Spencer, Charles Smith, Fred
Wegener, and Rob Vanderford.  If any volunteer would like to help, please call Larry
Kalmbach at 226-1664.  A request goes out to anyone in San Carlos who might have
a portable generator.  Welding and cutting is needed to refurbish the park equipment.

The Castaway Kids have started to make plans for their 2008 Christmas Party.  Kay
Dinunzio will donate all the tooth brushes and tooth paste for the kids.  Lauriann Atlee,
Becky Lupo, and Donna Malcolm have volunteered to help with the party.  The
Christmas committees will be set up at the March meeting.

Special thanks go to Nikki Landon in California who has sent over 1000 pairs of shoes
for the Castaway Kids!  Thanks also go out to Richard McCreedy, a landscape
architect from Nevada, for his help with the parks.  Finally, thanks to Ian and Jody
from Canada for their gift of blankets.

The next Castaway Kids meeting will be held at the Kalmbach's on Monday the 10th
